South Downs National Park Trust is a newly established charity (2017) set up to work with partners to enhance and protect the South Downs National Park for future generations.

The Trust asked for a tailored trustee briefing to

  • explore where the South Downs National Park Trust sits in the charity world
  • outline the trustees’ duties and responsibilities
  • to discuss the political, media, regulatory and fundraising context in which the charity is operating
  • highlight features of the relationship between the Trust and the South Downs National Parks Authority
  • inform a discussion about the attributes of a successful board

‘Our Board of Trustees found Rosie’s briefing very valuable, particularly as it helped them get up to speed with the current regulatory issues facing the sector. Rosie had also clearly researched the particulars of our organisation, which made it bespoke to  us and helped prompt some useful discussion.’ James Winkworth, Charity Director, South Downs National Park Trust
